July 30, Lumbini: Lumbini Development Trust has donated desks and benches to schools and madrasas around Lumbini. At a function held on Tuesday, Lumbini Development Trust Vice-Chairman Metteyya Sakyaputta (Awadhesh Kumar Tripathi) handed over furniture to the schools of the surrounding areas. Stating that the Trust has always been contributing to social work, he said that the Trust would bring special programs for the development of the locals in the coming days.
He said that the Trust was ready to contribute as much as possible in the field of education. “As the work of the master plan of the Trust has not been completed yet, the Trust has not been able to go outside the master plan area. After completion of the master plan, the Trust will also focus on the development of local area” he added. He further said that the surrounding schools could play a special role in the development of Lumbini.
Acting Member Secretary of the Trust, Gyanin Rai, said that the Trust has helped in the development of local schools. He informed that the Trust will continue the support to local community in the area of education development in future too.
In the program, 300 sets of desk benches were been handed over to ten schools and nine madrasas in the periphery of Lumbini. Shri Ram Janki Basic School, Shri Mayadevi Primary School, Madrasa Arabia Sirajul Uloom Al-Salafiya, Madrasa Anwarul Uloom, Madrasa Jamia Faizul Islam Al-Salafiya, Madrasa Arabia Ibne Qaim Al Jawzia, Madrasa Islamia Samsul Oloom, Madrasa Anwarul Walum, Almadarsatul Arabiya Shamshul Walum, Shri Khudawagar Adarsh College, Markajutalim Vachhavah Al Islamia, Madrasa Daruttauheed, Shri Tenuhava Ma.V., Shri Ama Ma.V., Shri Buddha Adarsh Ma.V., Shri Karmahava Ma.V., Shri Madhuvani Ma.V. Lumbini, Shri Ramnaresh Yadav Adarsh Secondary School, Dhakdhai and Shri Ratna Rajya Laxmi Secondary School Kapilvastu were provided desk and benches.
The Trust supports local development in various areas. Trust has been providing Mayadevi Scholarship to the Girl students of local schools every year, distributing educational materials to the students and distributing educational materials including computers to the educational institutions. The Trust distributed food, masks, sanitizers, electric heating jugs, and soap to quarantine centers around Lumbini and the locals to help locals battle against COVID-19.
