Entry Formalities 

When visiting the Mayadevi Temple in Lumbini, there are a few important things to keep in mind: 

• Visitors must remove their shoes before entering the temple premises.

• Modest, respectful clothing is preferred when visiting the sacred shrine.

• Food and drinks should be left outside the temple at the entrance.

• Entrance tickets are mandatory and must be purchased.

Please note that the conservation fee is waived for monks, nuns, persons with disabilities, and local residents of the three surrounding districts.
Drone Operation: Permission must be obtained from the District Administration Office, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, and the Lumbini Development Trust before flying drones over Buddhist heritage sites in the Greater Lumbini Area
