January 10, 2017, Lumbini: Former Deputy Minister for Religious Affairs Ministry of Culture of Korea Mr. Jang-sup Shim, Korean Ambassador to Nepal H.E. Choe, Yong-Jin and delegates visited Lumbini today. The delegates were accompanied by Gambhir Gurung, Chairman of Ankur Nepal.
The delegates were welcomed and provided a guided tour by Information and Public Relation Chief Hari D. Rai. The delegates visited Lumbini monastic zone and finally came to Mayadevi temple to pay homage to holy birthplace of the Buddha.
Former Minister Shim remarked that his team was happy to visit Lumbini as Buddhist aspirant where Sakyamuni Buddha was born more than two and half millennia ago but spiritually so vibrant even today. His Excellency Choe expressed happiness to have been in Lumbini, the world cultural heritage property.
