Right Honorable President Mrs. Bidya Devi Bhandari visited Lumbini on 22nd Mangsir 2075 (8th Dec 2018). Vice Chairman of Lumbini Development Trust Ven. Metteyya Sakyaputta, Treasurer Surendra Muni Shakya and other staffs welcomed Mrs. President at the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Mrs. President also visited the Mayadevi Temple and paid homage to Lord Buddha. She also visited the construction site of Buddhist Conference Hall being built in Lumbini which have the capacity to accommodate 5000 persons and was briefed about its construction progress. The president also participated the program of Lumbini Buddhist University as the Chief Guest on the same day.
