Lumbini: Ambassador of Sri Lanka for Nepal Her Excellency Himalee Arunatilaka visited Lumbini on 1st November 2019.  Vice Chair of Lumbini Development Trust Venerable Metteya Sakyaputta along with Treasurer Mr. Surendra Muni Shakya, acting Member Secretary and Project Chief Mr. Saroj Bhattarai and other staff members were present to welcome the Ambassador. Her Excellency paid homage to Lord Buddha and visited important archaeological site of Lumbini.

The Ambassador was expressed her happiness to visit and pay homage to birthplace of the Buddha. She said that Lumbini, the holy birthplace of Buddha is an international pilgrimage centre for Buddhist as well as peace loving people around the world which should be visited with devotion to feel peace, tranquility and to cultivate compassion. Her excellency also thanked Lumbini Development Trust for the welcome.
