Ambassador of South Korea for Nepal His Excellency Park Young-Sik visited Lumbini on 8 November, 2019. His excellency was accompanied by his spouse and Mr. Shiva Pokharel, the Advisor of the Ambassador.  Vice Chair of Lumbini Development Trust Venerable Metteya Sakyaputta along staff members welcomed the Ambassador in Lumbini. The delegation paid homage to Lord Buddha and visited important archaeological site of Lumbini. Information and PR Chief Hari D. Rai guided the delegation of the Ambassador in Mayadevi Temple complex.

The Ambassador expressed happiness to visit and pay homage to birthplace of the Buddha. His excellency said that Lumbini, the holy birthplace of Buddha is an international pilgrimage centre for Buddhist as well as peace loving people around the world which should be visited with devotion to feel peace, tranquility and to cultivate compassion. His excellency mentioned that was his third visit to Lumbini.

The Ambassador also discussed on possible areas of Korean assistance with Lumbini Development Trust for tourism development and support services.
