Lumbini: Newly appointed Member Secretary of Lumbini Development Trust Sanuraja Shakya has taken his charge from 14 Oct., 2020 in the head of office of the Trust, Lumbini. He was appointed as Member Secretary of the Trust by the Cabinet of Ministers on 08 Oct., 2020.   The Member Secretary was heartily welcomed by the Management Team and Staff of the Trust today amid a formal welcome program organized by the Trust. Administrative Chief Officer Gyanin Rai committed that whole LDT family was ready to cooperate him to achieve the goal and vision of the LDT in the light of Lumbini Development Act 2042 and Lumbini Master Plan. 

Vice Chair Ven. Metteyya Sakyaputta (Awadhesh Tripathi) congratulated newly appointed Member Secretary and wished for a successful tenure. He said, “The LDT, as the Government of Nepal’s official body to administer the holy birthplace of Sakyamuni Buddha is the patron of millions of Buddhists around the world. “The government is preparing to complete the Lumbini Master Plan implementation soon”, he added. He further said, “Kapilavastu sites and Devadaha Ramagrama sites should be developed with a separate master plan of each and the LDT is working in the direction.”  The appointment of new Member Secretary will definitely accelerate development works and administrative strengthening, he added.        

Member Secretary Sanuraja Shakya thanked for the welcome program. He also expressed commitment for equity and team work within the institution and sought for every possible constructive ideas and cooperation. Lumbini has drown enough attention of the President and the Prime Minister which is both opportunity and challenge for all us; hence we should serve in the best possible way to produce good results, he further added.
