Lumbini: Minister of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Hon. Dr. Shiva Maya Tumbahamphe Visited Lumbini on Feb 22, 2021. Hon. Minister was accompanied by Hon. Krishni Tharu, Deputy Speaker in Provincial Assembly of Lumbini Province and other delegates.

The minister and her delegates were welcomed by Treasurer Surendramuni Shakya, Member Secretary Sanuraja Shakya, Administration Chief Gyanin Rai, and staff of Lumbini Development Trust. The delegates were briefed about the significance of Lumbini as the holy birthplace of the Buddha and the present situation after COVID Pandemic break out. Information Officer Rajan Basnet explained Lumbini Master Plan for the delegates.

The delegates also paid homage to the birthplace of the Buddha in Mayadevi Temple, visited other international monasteries in the Monastic Zone, and finally observed Lumbini International Meditation Hall and Conference Centre which is under construction.
