Mayadevi Temple Opened for Devotees
Mayadevi Temple has been opened for devotees and visitors after three months’ closure. The temple and Lumbini Monastic Zone were closed since 29 May, 2021 (Baisakh 16, 2078) when the government imposed a travel restriction after spread of pandemic Covid-19 in the country.
After three months of closure, Lumbini area has been opened for public visitation from August 11, 2021 (Srawan 27, 2078). It has been made mandatory for the visitors to maintain a social distance of five feet and wear masks while being in the temple premises. Lumbini Development Trust requests the visitors to follow all Covid safety protocols.
