Lumbini: Right Honorable President Bidhya Devi Bhandari visited Lumbini on Dec. 2, 2021. In the first hour, she went to Kapilavastu and observed the historic sites including Tilaurakot and Kudan. She participated the program of seventeenth anniversary of Lumbini Buddhist University organized the university complex. 

The president also visited and inspected Lumbini international meditation and conference hall. The hall holds and capacity of accommodating ten thousand persons at a time. LDT officials including Treasurer Surendra Muni Sakya, Member Secretary Sanuraja Sakya, Project Chief Er. Saroj Bhattarai and Chief Administrative Officer Gyanin Rai welcomed her. The officials showed her around the construction site and briefed the progress of the project. Project Manager Bhattarai also briefed other projects under progress in Lumbini to her. 

The president observed the site with keen interest and wished for speedy and quality development activities in the Greater Lumbini Area.
