Lumbini: Governor of Bagmati Province Honorable Yadav Chandra Sharma visited Lumbini on February 24, 2022. The governor was welcomed by Lumbini Development Trust in Lumbini. Staff and officials of the Trust including Member Secretary Sanuraja Sakya, Administrative Chief Officer Gyanin Rai, and Information Officer Rajan Basnet welcomed the guests and briefed about history, religiosity and archaeology of Lumbini. 

The governor paid homage to the holy birthplace of Sakymuni Buddha. He worshiped the temple and prayed for world peace. He also visited different monasteries Lumbini Monastic Zone.
