Photos of significant historic sites of Kapilavastu were exhibited at Kudan, to promote ancient Kapilavastu where Sakyamuni Buddha spent his princely life. The exhibition was organized by Gachchhami Media Group and Kapilavastu Tourism in close cooperation of Ward No. 2 and 3 of Kapilavastu Municipality.
Beautiful photographs with archaeological, cultural and natural significances were exhibited in the program. The photos were taken by Journalist Manoj Paudel and Photo Journalist Brijesh Gupta.
Minister of Physical Infrastructure Development of Lumbini Province Hon. Sahasram Yadav inaugurated the program. The minister appreciated the endeavor of Kapilavastu promotion through photo exhibition. He committed to allot budget necessary for the infrastructure development of Kapilavastu district.
Member Secretary of Lumbini Development Trust Mr. Sanuraja Sakya opined that such programs and praise worthy initiative would help attract tourists to Kapilavastu. He said, “Tilaurakot will be enlisted World Heritage List in near future, the LDT is working in this direction.” He further added that the Trust was developing a master plan of Greater Lumbini Area that connected Lumbini, Kapilavastu, Devadaha and Ramagrama sites.
Goodwill Ambassador of LDT Mr. Bikram Pandey opined that Greater Lumbini Area should be connected with the Himalayas of Nepal to develop sustainable tourism in the country.
Chairpersons of Ward No. 2 Mr. Rambhajan Kalwar and Ward No. 3 Mr Prakash Gaire, Journalist Kiranman Bajracharya and Mahoj Paudel and Hotelier Lilamani Sharma also spoke in the program. Chaired by Manoj Srivastav, the program was conducted by Khaga Prasad Chapagai.
