Renowned Indian exponent of the Ram Charit Manas His Holiness Morari Bapu recited Ram Katha and delivered Manush Buddha Chirit in Lumbini from February 7 to 15, 2023. Saint Morari Bapu and his delegates were welcomed in Lumbini by Lumbini Development Trust in Lumbini.

His Holiness landed at Guatnam Buddha International Airport, Bhairahawa from India and went to Mayadevi Temple where he paid homage to the holy birthplace of the Buddha. His delegation also observed ancient monuments in the vicinity of Mayadevi Temple.

His discourse was convened in Lumbini International Conference and Meditation Hall at New Lumbini Village of Lumbini Master Plan Area. The ethos of his Katha was as usual spreading the message of truth, love and compassion to contribute to the universal peace. Bapu drew upon examples from other religions and insisted people of all faiths to live in peace and harmony during his a week long discourses. His Holiness also highlighted the life history and the teachings of the Buddha during his discourse.

About five thousand devotees attended the discourse daily. The event contributed in promotion of Lumbini and tourism in the region.
