Norwegian Ambassador Torun Drumdal Visits to Lumbini

Lumbini, December 14, 2023: On December 14, Torun Dramdal, the Norwegian Ambassador to Nepal, visited the birthplace of Buddha, Lumbini. Ambassador Torun explored the Lumbini region, including Lumbini, Kapilavastu, and other areas.

Dr. Lharkyab Lama (Khenpo Chime), Vice-Chair of the Lumbini Development Trust, welcomed Ambassador Torun to Lumbini. During the visit, Vice-Chair Lama engaged in discussions with Ambassador Torun on the development of Lumbini and its tourism promotion.

Treasurer Siddhicharan Bhattarai, Project Chief Saroj Bhattarai, and Information and PR Chief Dr. Hari D. Rai were also present to welcome the ambassador's delegation. The Norwegian Ambassador received a briefing about Lumbini, a world heritage property, from Dr. Hari Rai, and an official tour guide provided a guided tour to Kapilavastu sites.
