Visit of UAE Ambassador to Lumbini

H.E. Abdulla Saeed Mubarak Jarwan Al Shamsi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Nepal, visited the birthplace of Lord Buddha, Lumbini, on Monday. He was welcomed by Dhundi Raj Bhattarai (Siddhicharan), the Treasurer of Lumbini Development Trust. Treasurer Bhattarai provided information about the birthplace of Buddha to Ambassador Abdullah and requested UAE citizens to visit Lumbini.

During the visit, the Ambassador noted that Muslim pilgrims were also seen in Lumbini, indicating the religious harmony that prevails here. Ambassador Abdullah observed the Peace Flame, Maya Devi Temple, Pushkarini Pond, and Ashoka Pillar.

During the occasion, members of Lumbini Development Trust including Ram Naresh Kohar, press consultant Vinod Pariyar, and information Jr. officer Dilip Rai were present. Mr. Rai briefed Ambassador Abdullah about Lumbini.
