Lumbini, January 5 - Gandaki Province’s Minister for Industry and Tourism, Mitralal Basyal, visited the birthplace of Buddha, Lumbini, on Friday. Minister Basyal was welcomed by the Treasurer of the Lumbini Development Trust, Dhundhiraj Bhattarai (Siddhicharan), and Member Secretary Sanuraja Shakya.

After the reception at the Peace Flame, the minister visited the Mayadevi Temple, the Puskarini Pond, and the Asoka Pillar. On this occasion, Information Officer Rajan Basnet briefed the minister on the archaeological, religious, and historical significance of Buddha's birthplace, Lumbini.
