Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba visited Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. She was welcomed by Dr. Lharkyal Lama (Khenpo Chime), Vice-Chairperson of the Lumbini Development Trust.

Minister Rana visited the Maya Devi Temple, the Asoka Pillar, and the Pushkarini Pond. Dr. Lama briefed her on the recent activities and developments undertaken by the Trust. Urban Development Minister of Lumbini Province, Saroj Thapa, also accompanied her during the visit.

Foreign Minister Rana visited Lumbini while attending a regional meeting of the Nepali Congress in Rupandehi's Bhairahawa.

The visit was attended by Member Secretary Sanuraja Shakya, Executive Members Shyam Rokka and Rajesh Shakya, and Security Officer Khagendra Kafle of the Trust.
