Home Minister Aryal Visits Lumbini

Nov. 24, 2025, Lumbini: Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has made a special observation visit to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Accompanied by his team, he inspected key archaeological and religious sites in the area, including the Maya Devi Temple, the Ashoka Pillar erected by Emperor Ashoka, and the historic Puskarini Pond.

During the visit, Acting Member-Secretary of the Lumbini Development Trust, Gyanin Rai, briefed the Home Minister on the Lumbini Master Plan, past and ongoing excavation works, conservation efforts, and the overall archaeological and historical significance of Lumbini.

Home Secretary Rameshwar Dangal, Inspector General of Nepal Police Dan Bahadur Karki, and Inspector General of the Armed Police Force Raju Aryal were also part of the delegation that visited Lumbini to observe the current state and progress of the sacred heritage site.
