Lumbini, December 19, 2017: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation and Chairman of Lumbini Development Trust (LDT) Hon. Jitendra Narayan Dev arrived Lumbini today. Project Chief Er. Saroj Bhattarai accompanied the minister from the Guatam Buddha Airport Bhairahawa while the staff and officials in the lead of Treasurer Surendra Muni Shakya including Board Members Rajesh Gyawali and Amirika Kohar welcomed the minister and his team by offering Khada (Buddhist scarf) at the Mayadevi entrance. 

Mr. Hari D. Rai, Information Chief explained the history, archaeology and spirituality of Lumbini to minister and delegates. Mr. Krishna KC, Senior Archeologist briefed the minister on the archaeological activities being carried out in Lumbini. Chudamani Bhattarai, Administrative Officer also briefed the minister on security issues in the Temple Complex. 

The minister also observed recent development projects and activities within Lumbini Master Plan being executed by the Trust. The minister is going to chair the LDT Board Meeting being held tomorrow in Lumbini.
