A Thai military delegation led by General Tarnchaiyan Srisurran visited Lumbini on May 4, 2018. The delegation was accompanied by Nepal army officers to Lumbini.    

The General and his delegation were welcomed at Lumbini helipad by Surendra Shakya, the treasure and Amiraka Kohar, the board member and officials of Lumbini Development Trust as he landed Lumbini by Nepalese Army helicopter.

Archaeology consultant of Trust Basant Bidari briefed about Lumbini's history and present development activities to the guests. Mr. Bidari also provided a guided tour to the delegates to Mayadevi Temple in the Sacred Garden. The General worshipped the birth spot of Sakyamuni Buddha in the Mayadevi Temple.

Treasurer Sakya gave away a token of love to General Srisurran at Sacred Garden from behalf of the Trust.  The delegates also visited some international monasteries in the Lumbini Monastic Zone and joined for Buddhist puja and chanting at Thai monastery.
