Congress Leader Dr. Shekhar's Visit to Lumbini

Lumbini, October 4, 2023. Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala visited the Maya Devi Temple in Lumbini. On Wednesday morning, Dr. Koirala, along with Congress leader Dr. Govind Pokharel, Dr. Sunil Sharma, and a team, toured various areas, including the Maya Devi Temple, Asoka Pillar, Pushkarini Pond, and others.

Board Member Gopikrishna Sharma, Project Chief Saroj Bhattarai, and Information Officer Rajan Basnet of Lumbini Development Trust warmly welcomed the delegation led by Dr. Koirala. During this occasion, Rajan Basnet provided information about recent activities undertaken by the Trust, the Lumbini Master Plan, and other archaeological details.

During the event, Dr. Koirala expressed his commitment to the development of Lumbini. Alongside Dr. Koirala, Amar Singh Pun, the Lumbini Provincial President of Nepali Congress, and other leaders such as Bhuvan Shrestha and former Provincial Assembly member Fakrudhin Khan, were also present.
